Gamco Corp. has launched its newest fenestration product - the B-F Series Bi-Fold Door/Wall System. The B-F Series combines folding aluminum frame glass panels to create a transparent, moveable, yet secure wall system capable of spanning large openings. The new product line was introduced at the Buildings NY Show where the firm displayed a large-scale operating sample.
With their ability to provide expansive views when closed and large span unobstructed openings when open, bi-fold door/wall systems have been popular with architects and property owners. The folding door/wall system permits flexible use of spaces through its ability to easily merge normally separate indoor and outdoor areas. This versatile Gamco fenestration product is perfect for a variety of properties including upscale homes and condos, restaurants, retail stores, shopping malls, auto dealerships, offices, recreation venues, educational buildings, health care facilities, hotels, resorts and conference centers. While designed to withstand the rigors of exterior applications, the Gamco B-F Series is equally useful for interior spaces.
The new Gamco Bi-Fold Door/Wall System operates with top-hung panels connected by hinges that fold in alternate directions, accordion style. The panels are then guided by top and bottom tracks to slide and stack conveniently to the side and out of the way, providing a large clear opening. Individual middle panels also open independently (out-swing is standard and in-swing is optional) to provide traditional aluminum frame glass door access.
The new Gamco B-F Series is available in three models: B-F 200 Narrow Stile, B-F 350 Medium Stile and B-F 500 Wide Stile. The door panel frames for the three models range in size from 2" to 3.5" for top rail/stiles and from 3" to 7.5" for bottom rails. Frame members are constructed of strong heavy-duty 0.125" wall thickness aluminum, which comes standard in white paint, clear anodized or dark bronze anodized finishes. For the ultimate in aesthetics, Gamco offers the option of custom painting or cladding the aluminum frame with special precious metals such as stainless steel or bronze.
A major value of the Gamco Bi-Fold Door/Wall System is the majestic sizes possible with the new product line. The B-F Series can be configured with up to 8 panels spanning a maximum opening width of 24 feet. With optional upgrades, maximum heights can reach an astounding 120" tall.
The Gamco B-F Series Bi-Fold Door/Wall System is loaded with many other notable features. Standard and optional sills include raised, saddle or ADA compliant flush styles. The door panels feature all tempered glass with a choice of 1/4" single or 1" double or triple insulated glass units.
Stylish, modern, strong and highly functional hardware is incorporated throughout the Gamco Bi-Fold Door/Wall System. Heavy-duty stainless steel rollers are used in the wheel carrier track system. Stainless steel panel hinges feature interior pull handles to facilitate easy opening and closing. Top and bottom flush mount locking bolts secure closed hinged panels. Panic device hardware is available with the system.
