Feldmann of Eldor Contracting named to NY Solar Energy Industries Association board

According to Eldor Contracting Corp., business development and project manager Keith Feldmann has been appointed to the board of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA). NYSEIA is one of the only statewide, non-profit membership and trade associations dedicated solely to advancing the solar energy industry in the state. Feldmann brings to the role direct, hands-on experience managing some of Eldor's most challenging renewable energy projects including the Suffolk County, New York solar carport project-a 12.82-megawatt (MW), 45,000 solar module project. At Eldor, Feldmann is responsible for managing large-scale solar projects. Additionally, he assumes a major role in the company's new business development, actively seeking new opportunities throughout the New York Tri-State area and northeast region. Feldmann draws on a diverse background and experience in serving Eldor's client base. Prior to joining Eldor, he was project manager and a leading member of Thorndike Development, where the nationally and regionally awarded firm was instrumental in building out a 3,000 acre master planned community. For over five years, Feldmann also served as an environmental engineer with Estée Lauder Cos. During his tenure, he created global programs that improved the environmental aspect of the company's manufacturing facilities and personally audited the results in countries such as Australia, Belgium, Switzerland, Toronto and South Africa. A licensed electrician, Feldmann is a member of the industry whose professional affiliations include his membership in the Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association (LISEIA), where he takes on a role including participating in its technical committee and promoting the passage of regional solar legislation. Feldmann holds a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. Additionally, he has an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Boston University, from which he graduated cum laude.
