Famularo and Goldberg of Meridian Retail Leasing arrange lease for Brooklyn Dumpling Shop

Brooklyn, NY Meridian Retail Leasing, the retail leasing division of Meridian Capital Group, has arranged a long-term lease for Brooklyn Dumpling Shop at 131 First Ave. in the East Village neighborhood. Meridian president of New York Retail Leasing, James Famularo, represented the landlord, while Meridian director, Greg Goldberg, represented both the landlord and the tenant.

131 First Ave. in New York’s East Village neighborhood and spans 492 s/f on the ground floor and 250 s/f on the lower level, benefitting from visibility in a highly trafficked location. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is the newest venture by Stratis Morfogen, the founder of hotspot Philippe Chow and owner of popular eateries Jue Lan Club and Brooklyn Chop House. The spin-off quick-service restaurant will serve dumplings all day and late night, including cheeseburger dumplings, pastrami dumplings, French onion soup dumplings, and peanut butter and jelly dumplings.

Situated on the southwest corner of Saint Marks Pl., the new concept will fit in seamlessly amongst an array of popular restaurants and bars in the area including PDT, Empellon Al Pastor, Café Mogador and Goodnight Sonny. 131 First Ave. is also accessible via the R and W trains at the 8th St. station, the 6 train at Astor Place, and the L train at First Ave.
