EW Howell hosts John Bergin Benefit for a Friend golf outing; 150 construction professionals raise $160,000

Muttontown, NY EW Howell Construction Group, one of the region’s leading education, government, cultural and healthcare builders, hosted its 15th annual John Bergin Benefit for a Friend golf outing on September 18th at the Woodside Acres Country Club. More than 150 professionals in the construction industry on Long Island and in New York City joined together to raise $160,000 for the cause. Founded in 2003, the organization and its signature golf outing helps raise money for construction families in need, donating approximately $1.5 million to date. In 2016, the event was renamed The John Bergin Benefit for a Friend, in memory of the late John Bergin, an SVP at EW Howell and one of the founders of the golf outing. Participants in the all-day event enjoyed breakfast and a cocktail and dinner reception, as well as contests and prizes.
