Entech’s S2 System reports saving building owners $5 million during inaugural year

Manhattan, NY Entech, a smart energy management control system, released the first-year results of its AI-powered building energy management system, Stealth2 (S2). The platform’s initial rollout in 2025 transformed energy management across 401 buildings and 24,252 apartment units, delivering $5.09 million in cost savings.

As property owners face rising operational costs, coupled with stricter local carbon emissions standards, solutions that provide both financial and environmental savings are becoming critical to business survival. Entech’s S2 system has proven to be a powerful solution to overcoming these challenges by saving each building in 2025 more than $12,000 and roughly $200 per unit annually.

The platform proved its energy efficiency even further by slashing more than 24% of total carbon emissions, avoiding 16,338 metric tons of CO2 in 2025. That’s equivalent to offsetting roughly 3,400 gas-powered vehicles driven for one year or more than 15,000 round trip flights between New York and London.

“At Entech, we’ve taken almost 30 years of experience in building energy control to create an intelligent system that meets the needs of today’s market,” said Heather Zoberman, director of product development at Entech. “Multifamily and commercial building owners are pulling away from reactive management and turning to proactive, AI-driven systems that don’t require costly infrastructure overhaul. S2 is setting the standard for this shift in the industry, and we look forward to expanding Entech’s footprint to building owners outside of New York in 2026.”

Entech’s S2 system combines artificial intelligence, IoT hardware and smart thermostats to optimize, automate and monitor boiler systems in multi-unit buildings. The system learns a building’s heating patterns and automatically shifts boiler staging, cycling and temperature settings to reduce overall energy consumption. Entech enables building developers to modernize their heating systems without the massive capital expense and disruptions of a full boiler replacement by integrating with any current boiler system in use today.

“Working with Entech has been a game-changer for our operations. Their systems provide incredibly valuable insight into equipment issues that we didn’t have before, such as water loss and temperature fluctuations,” said Luis Ponce of Breaking Ground. “By giving our onsite field staff direct access, they’ve provided a level of transparency that takes significant pressure off our management team. We wish we had implemented this technology a long time ago.”

Growing up in the Bronx gave me a front-row seat as problems developed from treating housing, mobility and community development as separate issues. For a long chapter of the city’s history, transportation came at the expense of housing.

Most people think of St. Patrick’s Day as a fun footnote on the calendar. In construction logistics, however, it’s a full-scale operational variable — especially if your work touches major metro areas with major parades and, let’s call it what it is, enthusiastic celebrants.
