Elmendorf-Cooleen named president of Clinton Mgmt.

According to Clinton Management, an affiliated entity of Douglaston Development and Levine Builders, which manages and operates the firm's real estate portfolio, Anne Elmendorf-Cooleen has been named president.
Elmendorf-Cooleen, who brings more than 35 years of broad-based experience from both a local and national platform, will work in tandem with Clinton Management CEO Irving Spodek and will assume responsibilities for overseeing the company's real estate portfolio and day to day operations.
"Since Anne joined us at Clinton Management last year, she has been exceptional," said Jeffrey Levine, chairman of Douglaston Development, Levine Builders and Clinton Management. "She has demonstrated leadership and vision, streamlined processes and procedures and has formulated a plan of action to foster growth and efficiency. I have no doubt that Anne will thrive in this new role."
As vice president of operations for Clinton Management, Elmendorf-Cooleen created policies and structure for the company's existing buildings, as well as the many projects coming on line and in the planning stages. With a deep understanding of the real estate industry, she has relationships with the National Multi-Family Housing Council, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
Prior to joining Clinton Management, Elmendorf-Cooleen served as a principal at Morgan Steward, Inc., syndicators and conventional housing owners of multi-family properties in eight states. She has also held senior positions at Enterprise Community Investment, Centerline Capital Group, Home Properties and Koeppel & Taylor Management Company.
An active member of the New York City community, Elmendorf-Cooleen is a part of such organizations as the Mortgage Bankers Association, the American Society of Training and Development, and the International Coach Federation, as well as several real estate groups, including the NYC Affordable Housing Resource Center, and the Tax Credit Housing Management Insider. She holds several certifications including one from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a HCCP Tax Credit Specialist. Elmendorf-Cooleen is a certified mediator and a group coach at Columbia University.
