Dynabil to expand facilities in Greene Business and Tech. Park - $6m investment

According to the Greene County IDA, Dynabil Industries will significantly expand its facilities, a combined investment of $6 million and the creation of 120 additional manufacturing jobs. Paul Burton, president of Dynabil, said that they committed to lease long-term 33,000 s/f at new facility constructed by the Galesi Group in Greene Business and Technology Park. The new facility will handle the expansion of manufacturing operations within the company and provide space for the new employees all expected to be in place by the end of the year. "This new facility will add to our current space and provide a new corporate image for Dynabil. The Greene Business and Technology Park with its emphasis on tech and manufacturing is a great location to build a new presence for our rapidly growing operations," said Burton. The project received significant state support with a $750,000 Office of Small Cities Grant to fund the extension of road and infrastructure to the site and a $400,000 MAP grant from ESD to support the expanded needs of the manufacturing operation. The company will also benefit with assistance from the Greene County Empire Zone, a economic development, retention and expansion tool. "DynaBil's commitment to Greene County solidifies New York's competitive position in attracting and retaining the aerospace industry's major players. Our state's highly skilled workers, dedicated companies, and a responsive state government continue to foster a business climate for growth," said Downstate Empire State Development chairman Patrick Foye. ESD provided a Manufacturers Assistance Program (MAP) capital grant because it recognizes the critical need for manufacturing jobs in both local and state economies." Greene IDA chairman Paul Slutzky said, "It has been a top priority of our organization to complete an expansion deal with Dynabil to ensure its long-term presence in Greene County. These manufacturing jobs are valuable to our local community and the image of Greene County as a viable location for high tech and manufacturing companies." The groundbreaking for the new building is expected to take place in April on a three acre parcel in the southern portion of Greene Business and Technology Park off of Vermilyea Ln. The road and infrastructure extension and building will be completed in the fall.
