Dwyer appointed to board of LIREG

Tom Dwyer, chief operating office of Syosset-based American Land Services Inc., a title insurer, has been appointed to the board of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG), a networking and philanthropic organization for individual in the real estate business and allied trades. In addition to his work with LIREG, Dwyer currently serves on the board of the Working Organization for Retarded Children and Adults and has served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Long Island board of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
