Douglaston Development hires Dzbanek as senior vice president of design and construction

New York, NY According to Douglaston Development, Allen Dzbanek has joined the firm as senior vice president of design and construction.

Dzbanek joins Douglaston after serving as the SVP of design and construction with Rockrose Development with more than 35 years of experience managing multi-million-dollar development and construction projects.

 While at Rockrose, he was responsible for forming and leading the construction and design department, which was charged with bringing projects from conception to fruition. In his time there, Dzbanek created more than 2.4M square feet in apartments.

“Douglaston Development continues to grow its residential portfolio across the five boroughs of New York City,” said Jeff Levine president of Douglaston Development. “Having a strong leader in the  Development and Construction department of our firm further enhances our ability to provide housing for residents across all income spectrums.”

Before Rockrose, Dzbanek held positions as Executive Vice President of Park Tower Group, where he orchestrated one of the first comprehensive Project Labor Agreements with the Building Construction Trade Council of Great New York; Senior Director at Hudson Waterfront Associates, where he worked with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation in developing Riverside Park South.  Dzbanek was also a Senior Director of Design and Construction with Tishman Speyer Properties, where he invented an economic façade recladding system to reposition a Park Avenue office building with applied skin to existing curtainwall.

Dzbanek has held notable positions with various architectural firms in the 1980s upon receiving his Bachelors of Science in Architecture at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He holds a Masters of Architecture degree from Columbia University and a MBA degree with concentration in Finance from New York University.
