Douglas Elliman Development Marketing selected to market and lease the Centurian Building

The Centurian Building has been reimagined into modern residences that offer classic finishes transcending the luxury and decadence of a bygone era. The building consists of 39 lofts, one and two bed homes, including a two bedroom penthouse duplex with private outdoor space. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is exclusively handling the marketing and leasing for this project. "We're thrilled to introduce these beautiful, unique residences to one of Manhattan's hottest neighborhoods," said Clifford Finn, executive vice president of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. "The original details have been maintained, while a meticulous selection of new materials has been curated and integrated to create the perfect harmony of old and new." The Centurian Building was constructed between 1908-1910. The building was designed in the Beaux-Arts style by William L. Rouse for the Century Holding Co. 1182 Broadway has been certified by the Secretary of the Interior as meeting the requirements for listing in the National Register of Historic places. The Centurian has been in the Mocal Enterprises, Inc. family for 35 years and is now undergoing a complete transformation into luxury residences, with BUILTIN Studios chosen as the interior architects for the redesign. All residences feature top of the line interior décor including American Walnut stained flooring, 10' ceilings and recessed lighting throughout. Each home comes with a Bosch washer and dryer, custom molding and millwork throughout, along with oversized, restored copper window frames. The gourmet kitchens feature custom white cabinetry and bright white Caeserstone countertops and full-height glass tile backsplash, paneled Sub-Zero refrigerators, Bosch cooktop and wall oven, recirculating chimney hood, and paneled dishwasher. Sub-Zero wine refrigerators are available in select residences. Bathrooms feature Calacatta, Statuary and Carrara mosaic tile floors and walls, Zuma deep soaking tubs, custom Wenge vanities with marble countertops and radiant heat flooring in select residences. Additional amenities at The Centurian include a 24-hour doorman, on-site concierge, and a landscaped roof deck for residents. Located at 1182 Broadway between the well-known NoMad and Ace Hotels, The Centurian Building is at the center of all the best Manhattan has to offer. High-end restaurants and luxury boutiques make the area desirable to those looking for the ultimate New York City experience. Leasing began in February, with an expected date of occupancy in March.
