What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?
Writing my course "DONE" a "how to" approach to getting a healthcare project (bricks and mortar) done with less stress, on time and on budget.
When you launched your own business what were some of the initial challenges and how did you overcome them?
When I launched my own business my initial challenges were setting up my company systems in order to simplify running the business. My goal was to be efficient, keep an eye on the finances and being productive by using technology. I overcame those challenges by setting up my business finance on QuickBooks and using Infusion soft, which is a tool that delivers, sales and marketing in one system. This helps HWD keep in touch with our customers, grow sales, keep organized and stay competitive.
What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why?
My recent achievements with HWD are I have written 3 chapters in my book: "The Clinical and Construction Guide To Patient Centered Environments. revised my website adding video's and testimonials. And last of all I was quoted in the March, 2015 Healthcare Design magazine article "Healthcare design innovation requires leap of faith"
What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote: "A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done" (Dwight D. Eisenhower)
