Crystal Windows upgrades all vinyl window lines to Energy Star

In a bold environmental move, Crystal Window & Door Systems, the award-winning national manufacturer, has upgraded their standard window offerings for all eight of its vinyl product lines to Energy Star compliance. By making features such as soft coat Low-E glass and argon gas filling standard across the vinyl product lines, all of the company's most popular basic window models now achieve or exceed Energy Star thermal performance levels in all national climate zones. Crystal has invested heavily in recent months to improve the various vinyl product lines and in thermal testing through an independent accredited laboratory to confirm the windows achieve Energy Star performance levels. With this major upgrade, Crystal joins a very select group of major manufacturers offering Energy Star as the standard across all vinyl window lines. "Our Energy Star environmental initiative will greatly enhance the energy saving performance and value our products deliver for home-owners," said Steve Chen, executive vice president for Crystal. "The time is right for an environmentally responsible 'green' firm like Crystal to be progressive. Almost all manufacturers offer Energy Star options for some of their vinyl windows, but only a few manufacturers have all their standard vinyl windows Energy Star compliant. I see Crystal as a leader in Energy Star windows and believe homeowners, trade customers and the new construction and home improvement markets will view our actions very favorably." The company also offers additional options for those homeowners seeking even better thermal performance.
