Queens, NY In response to the continuing pandemic situation, Crystal Window & Door Systems has increased its webinar training on evolving window performance and design standards for architecture and other professionals to meet their continuing education requirements.
As part of its outreach to the design community, the online webinars are offered in place of its in-person Lunch and Learn sessions for individuals or architecture and engineering firms. The online educational sessions include an interactive presentation led by one of Crystal’s fenestration design and code experts and a brief overview of Crystal’s products, customization, and project engineering support capabilities.
“Our in-person Lunch and Learn presentations were always a popular forum for architects and engineers to learn the intricacies of specifying fenestration,” said Vincent Grieco, Crystal technical sales manager. “The online webinars allow us to stay connected with the design community while reaching a much broader audience across the country.” Crystal hosts the webinars free of charge and provides continuing education credit certificates to attendees following the meeting. The webinars are audited by the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA), the merged organization of the former American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturing Alliance (IGMA).
Besides courses it offers through in-house staff, Crystal with its broad network of notable national suppliers, is reaching out to collaborate on presenting other topics on new window frame, glass, and energy efficiency developments.
“Crystal can capitalize on its renowned vinyl, glass, aluminum, and component suppliers to bring the latest fenestration information to architects and specifying engineers,” said Grieco. “As a national manufacturer, we want the design community to consider Crystal not only a leading source for windows and doors but a key resource for understanding the myriad fenestration choices to achieve the aesthetic, energy, and budget requirements of their projects.”
Using several online meeting platforms, Crystal recently presented the “Specifying Windows and Doors Using Performance Standards” webinar to a New York metro area architecture firm. The next Crystal webinars are scheduled for Aug. 26, and Sept. 30.
