Crystal Window & Door Systems introduces aluminum window nailing fin frame option

Crystal Window & Door Systems, the award winning national manufacturer, has introduced a nailing fin frame option for one of its most popular aluminum window product lines. The pre-punched integral nailing fin increases installation flexibility for the Series 2000/2000A double-hung windows and the Series 2100/2100A fixed picture windows, and the option complements the existing standard leg and optional face flange (casement fin) frame choices for these models. The Crystal Series 2000/2000A commercial rated 3¼" jamb aluminum window line is applicable for both replacement and new construction in all types of multifamily residential, office, institutional and government buildings. The nailing fin is an integral component of the window's master frame, fixed midway between the window's interior and exterior faces. The nailing fin extends out 1-¼" from the window's perimeter along all four edges. Pre-punched oval holes spaced every four inches readily facilitate securing the new window into the rough opening with screws, nails, or powder-actuated fasteners. It should be noted that the optional fin is scored to assist its field "cut-down" to accommodate specific installation conditions if needed. The Crystal Series 2000/2000A aluminum windows come in a variety of styles, all with a 3¼" jamb depth. The Series 2000 and 2000A double-hung windows are AAMA rated H-C40 and H-C50, respectively, and the 2100 and 2100A fixed windows have F-HC ratings. The windows feature 7/8" insulating glass units utilizing PPG Intercept "warm edge" spacer technology. Available in a wide array of environmentally friendly powder coat custom color finishes, as well as with energy efficient low-E glass and argon gas options and decorative between-the-glass grids, Series 2000/2000A is one of Crystal's best selling aluminum lines. Crystal is one of the top 60 manufacturers in North America of replacement and new construction vinyl and aluminium window and door products.
