Crystal introduces CTP 5100 aluminum fixed/picture window

January 13, 2012 - Design / Build
Crystal Window & Door Systems, the award winning national manufacturer, announces the introduction of the Series CTP 5100 aluminum fixed/picture window. This new window is not only an important addition to Crystal's Series 5000 product line but also the latest in a series of architectural and heavy-commercial windows the company has launched in recent years.

The Series CTP 5100 aluminum fixed/picture window is a perfect visual match for the company's existing Series 5000 and 5500 double-hung windows and the Series 5600 sliding window. The new window features a 3 ¼" jamb depth frame and 1" insulating glass unit. The Series 5100's exceptionally clean lines belie its heavy-duty construction and performance. The window's frame utilizes strong 0.80" wall thickness aluminum extrusions secured in each corner by not two but three screws, and has achieved an outstanding AAMA test rating of AW-PG100-FW.
The Series CTP 5100 windows also feature a unique system that utilizes "male and female" frame legs to horizontally or vertically self-mull or combine with other compatible 3-¼" jamb depth products such as the Series 5000 and 5500 double-hung windows and the Series 5600 sliding window. By self-mulling, the 5100 window eliminates the need for separate mullion systems, which reduces costs and installation time without sacrificing overall unit integrity.
The new window's energy efficiency is enhanced through standard dual glass IGUs and options including triple glazing, one or two surface low-E coatings, and Argon gas filling. Aesthetic features include durable AAMA 2604 powder coat paint finishes available in Crystal's broad palette of colors and between-the-glass or exterior applied grids. Installation accessories such as panning systems, interior clips and snap trim, flange frames, and receptor systems and subsills are also available.
