CPC hires Banino as director of information technology

According to the Community Preservation Corp. (CPC), Christopher Banino, former head of IT - Americas of E.D. & F. Man, Inc., has joined CPC as director of information technology. "With over 20 years of experience in IT, Christopher's expertise will be an asset for CPC," said Rafael Cestero, president and CEO, The CPC. "His experience with technology and data management will facilitate multiple IT initiatives to provide the necessary tools to strengthen the neighborhoods we serve. I am excited to welcome him to the CPC family." In his role as director of information technology, Banino will be responsible for developing IT initiatives to help advance CPC's goals within New York State while also facilitating the maintenance of the existing IT infrastructure. He will focus on constructing a new platform that will enable CPC to better serve communities across New York, and will report directly to CPC's CFO, Kevin Moran. Banino brings 20 years of experience in managing technology worldwide. While at E.D. & F. Man, Inc., he provided technical guidance for 25 offices across the Americas and facilitated higher quality technical efficiency. Prior to that, he spent six years as director of Information Technology for the New York Stock Exchange, Inc., where he managed approximately $5 million in technology assets while providing technical advice to ensure consistently seamless integration of new services across platforms. He has also served as the director of data administration for Value Line Inc. in New York. Banino holds a bachelor's degree from Fordham University.
