Company Name: Albany Management

How many years have you been in your current field? 44 Years

What was your company’s greatest achievement of 2018?

With a reputation as one of the most reliable and respected commercial and residential Property Management firms in the Capital Region for 42 years, we have secured over 45,000 s/f of commercial office space within our property portfolio. We have also opened the fourth phase of Dutch Village, a beautiful 283 luxury apartment home community in the heart of the Capital Region.

What do you like most about doing business in the Albany Region?

The central location of the Capital Region is one of the best assets of this area. The I-87 and I-90 corridors are gateways to Boston, Buffalo, New York City, and Montreal. The nearby Albany International Airport and Rensselaer Train Station contribute to making this Region a desired place to live and do business. This Region is rich in history, natural parks, performing and fine arts, science and technology, health care, financial and educational institutions, and government.

What would you tell another company looking to move to the Albany Region?

This area offers an exceptional quality of life, diversity, and opportunity for you, your staff, and their families. The diversity of the area also lends itself to a more stable economy even in economic downturns.  There is so much to see and do right outside your door. If and when you have seen it all (this will be a challenge), Boston, NYC, and Montreal are a quick train ride away.

Tri-state capital migrates nationally amid regulation pressure - by Reese Weaver

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home. With over 60% of New York City’s rental housing stock classified as rent-stabilized, the traditional value-add model — buying under-performing buildings,
