Clear Skies Grp. provides turnkey solar electricity installations and renewable energy tech. solutions

Solar power industry veteran, Ezra Green, CEO of the Clear Skies Group, has discussed how national policy and corporate involvement will shape the future growth of clean, renewable solar power in green building and the U.S. energy mix. Green's Long Island, N.Y.-based company provides turnkey solar electricity installations and renewable energy technology solutions for municipalities, real estate developers, agricultural locations, office and residential complexes, storage facilities, manufacturing plants, and schools across the United States. Green believes that "with the abundance of generous rebates available and high energy costs for traditional energy sources, there is no reason not to go solar." They have recently completed two projects. To set a good example for the community and combat rising energy cost in the Bronx, a co-op decided to install solar energy in its 2 buildings. For the project they chose the Clear Skies Group. Clear Skies Group installed a solar energy system that totaled 25kWs which provides 31,259 kWhs per year, translating into a total saving amount of a $6,500 per year. With incentive programs that covered nearly 50% of the installation cost going solar was a smart economic decision for this Bronx non-profit development. In another project, facing surging electricity bills, which skyrocketed more than 20% over a three-year period, a Howard Beach, N.Y. retiree decided to take matters into his own hands and look for a way to curtail his exorbitant utility costs. He found a solution that offset his electric costs by 30% per year thanks to Clear Skies Group. In less than two days Clear Skies installed a 7.77 kWs solar electricity system on the home which consisted of 175 watt Sharp solar panels and a Sunvista inverter for the electrical conversion. Since the homeowner received generous utility rebates and tax credits which covered slightly 50% of the entire system this solar energy system will provide both electricity and savings for the homeowner. The system provides over 10,000 kWhs per year to the residence, resulting in a savings of approximately $2,500 in energy bills; plus it has the potential to increase the value of the home by nearly $20K.
