CIBS Designation graduates Class of 2024

Melville, NY The Commercial and Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS) celebrates the first graduating class of the CIBS Designation program, a new designation that includes only the most qualified and experienced brokers throughout Long Island.

The CIBS Designation was created to provide resources for brokers to highlight their exceptional professional achievements and qualifications, as well as their strong transactional history in brokerage fee-based services. With 8 graduates, only a select few highly qualified real estate practitioners are among the first group.

“This is a proud moment for our organization as we recognize the first CIBS Elite Class and these individuals who are true ambassadors for our industry with this designation —the best of the best,” said CIBS co-president and Cushman Wakefield executive managing director David Pennetta. “To be CIBS Designation, a broker has a demonstrated track record of success and has completed an eight-course curriculum designed for this purpose. With the resources of the CIBS Designation program at their disposal, this designation helps them stand out as brokers, supporting their success.”

The program, which began in Spring 2023, held courses throughout the past year. Brokers recognized with the CIBS Designation passed eight 1 1/2 hour education classes and maintained an active membership in CIBS. Courses cover a variety of subjects, including New York State brokerage law, capital markets, environmental insurance, and government assistance agencies like Industrial Development Agencies and the Empire State Development Corporation. Graduates can proudly display the “CIBS” designation letter as part of their professional signature for emails, letters, business cards and social media.

The inaugural graduating class: Ted Stratigos, Avison Young; David Pennetta, SIOR, LEED GA Cushman & Wakefield; Ralph Benzakein, SIOR, Cresa Partners; Gary Schacker, SIOR, United Realty; Stephen Cadorette, Cushman & Wakefield; Marian Campi-Conde, NAI Long Island; Michael Corsello, NAI Long Island; and Mike Rosenfeld, Rochlin Organization
