Name: Charles Petersheim Title: Founder Company: Catskill Farms, a vertically-integrated development, design, construction and real estate company, located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Location: 42 Proctor Rd., Eldred, N.Y. Place of birth: Lancaster, Penn. Family: I have a 3.5-year-old son that amazes me every day. College: I studied history and writing at the University of Pittsburgh. First job unrelated to your current field: A writer for the US Airways magazine during college. First job in current field: Painting houses. I also worked as a construction manager on such projects as the Scholastic headquarters in SoHo. What you do now and its plans for the future? My plans for the future of Catskill Farms is to broaden the region we currently build and make them available outside of Sullivan and Ulster Counties so more people can have access to us. Hobbies: Bicycling (road biking), reading, photography Favorite novel: "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald Favorite film: "Sophie's Choice," a 1982 American romantic drama film that tells the story of a Polish immigrant, Sophie, and her lover who share a boarding house with a young writer in Brooklyn. The film stars Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, and Peter MacNicol. Alan Pakula directed the movie. Keys to success: You must be an expert and pick your niche, perfect your technique, know your buyer and stay involved in each project. Person(s) you most admire (outside of family): Mark Twain. If you had to choose a different profession, what would it be? Journalist since not only did I go to school for it but because you're learning something new every day.
