CB Richard Ellis|Buffalo welcomes Michalek as senior VP

At a time when many WNY commercial real estate firms are shrinking, CB Richard Ellis|Buffalo is investing in its people and future. Gregory Michalek has joined CB Richard Ellis|Buffalo as senior vice president. In his new role, Michalek will oversee all facets of business development, including brokerage services, commercial real estate consulting, project management, property management and facility management. Jeffrey LiPuma, managing partner said, "While many in our industry have experienced some level of business downturn, we continue to see growth in our operations. At this time, we are very excited to attract Greg, a well known and respected figure in the WNY commercial real estate market. He will add much to the delivery of our service platform." Michalek, for almost 21 years, worked for M&T Bank. When leaving he was administrative vice president, group manager for the bank's WNY commercial real estate financing unit and headed up M&T's affordable housing financing efforts. Earlier, he managed the bank's Commercial Real Estate Finance business in Rochester, in addition to WNY, while championing new business development initiatives in Syracuse and Binghamton. Michalek, a graduate of Canisius College, is a certified public accountant. CB Richard Ellis|Buffalo has 20 employees and is located in the downtown area at the BlueCross BlueShield headquarters. The firm assists real estate owners, investors and occupiers by offering strategic advice and execution for property leasing and sales; property, facilities and project management; corporate services; debt and equity financing; investment management; valuation and appraisal; research and investment strategy; and consulting.
