Cato Institute's Taylor is keynote speaker at IREM luncheon

Jerry Taylor, a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, a nonpartisan public policy research institution headquartered in Washington, D.C., was the keynote speaker at a recent Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management's monthly luncheon at the New York Helmsley Hotel Taylor is among the most widely cited and influential critics of federal energy and environmental policy in the nation. In his keynote address titled "Energy Myths & Realities" he said, "The public debate about energy and energy policy is desultory and uninformed. Most of what the public believes to be true is false and the manner in which we think about energy policy is divorced from even a cursory consideration of basic economics."
