Briskin of The Feil Org. arranges four leases totaling 10,818 s/f at Nassau Mall & Kohl’s Plaza; legal counsel provided in-house by Palumbo and Frankel

Levittown, NY A multi-year, multi-phase renovation of the Nassau Mall and Kohl’s Plaza complex at Hempstead Tpke., has resulted in four new leases totaling 10,818 s/f and 100% occupancy at the two centers, according to The Feil Organization, the project’s owner and manager.

At Nassau Mall, FedEx has signed a new lease for 1,632 s/f, Chipotle Mexican Grill has taken 2,700 s/f, and GoHealth will occupy 2,486 s/f on the pad space next to the BJ’s Wholesale Club. All three tenants will occupy portions of the space, formerly occupied by F.Y.E., which has undergone a complete façade renovation. In addition, Curtains and Home has signed a new lease for 4,000 s/f near the AMC Theater section of the shopping center. The theater recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation that

included installing luxury and reserved seating. All tenants will be open by December.

“Over the past three years these centers, which share a large parking area, have undergone a phased remodeling as we have re-tenanted them,” said Randall Briskin, vice president of leasing for Feil. “The community is seeing the benefits of a completely leased project with a now completed modernization of the entire property.”

Owned and managed by The Feil Organization, the combined Kohl’s Plaza and Nassau Mall comprise 460,000 s/f of retail space in affluent, densely populated Nassau County. The trade area boasts a population of more than 179,000 with an average household income of $141,287 within a three-mile radius.

Briskin represented The Feil Org. in all negotiations, with legal counsel provided by in-house counsel Brian Palumbo and Michele Frankel. FedEx was represented in-house by June Robins and Barry Fishbach of Robert K. Futterman and Associates. Chipotle Mexican Grill was represented in-house by Lori Pellegrino, and by Daniel Spector and Leanna Spector of Winick Realty Group. Michael Stone of Cushman & Wakefield represented GoHealth.
