The space, roughly 50,000 s/f was formerly occupied by Waldbaums supermarket which recently closed. This will be the first Walmart Neighborhood Market to open in Long Island, and they will join Ulta, Mandee, Hurricane Grill, Leslie Pools, Lane Bryant and Children's Place at Levittown Mews.
Walmart Neighborhood Markets were designed in 1998 as a smaller-footprint option for communities in need of a pharmacy, affordable groceries and merchandise. There are now about 200 Neighborhood Markets in the U.S.
