Manhattan, NY The Heisman Trophy is coming to 120 Broadway.
Silverstein Properties negotiated a new office lease with Heisman, keeper of the fabled trophy. The charitable organization, whose mission is to amplify the Heisman legacy of excellence and empower future generations to make an enduring impact on society, will relocate its headquarters to 5,000 s/f on the 13th floor of 120 Broadway in 2027.
As part of a 10-year agreement, Heisman will display two of the famed Heisman Memorial Trophies, awarded annually since 1935 to the most outstanding college football player in the U.S., at Silverstein’s downtown tower. One will be placed on public display in the lobby and the other in The Landmark, the building’s 10th floor amenity center.
Heisman will also rebrand a section of The Landmark as the Heisman Lounge. The revamped space will feature a sleek and sophisticated design, with deep wood tones, leather furniture, a pool table and shuffleboard. Walls will be adorned with photography of Heisman Trophy winners, along with the storied history of the award.
“120 Broadway is a celebrated landmark, which makes it the perfect home for the legendary Heisman Trophy,” said Silverstein Properties senior vice president of leasing, Joe Artusa. “We are pleased to welcome Heisman – an established downtown organization whose employees will benefit from 120 Broadway’s prime location, expansive amenities and high-end service.”
“As we embark on the third era of Heisman where we respect the traditions of the Heisman Trophy and its Winners while simultaneously endeavoring to drive purposeful innovation, it is only fitting we move into the iconic yet contemporary 120 Broadway tower,” said Heisman CEO Jeff Price. “The modern space and world class amenities will create an outstanding environment for our team while also giving college football fans the chance to experience the legendary Heisman Trophy up close.”
120 Broadway’s curated suite of amenities delivers five-star hospitality for every moment in the workday. The Landmark features a flexible yoga studio, conference room, work lounges, game room, speakeasy and pantry.
The Bankers Club, the tower’s penthouse amenity floor, encompasses a landscaped rooftop terrace, lounge with a variety of seating options, café and food hall. Tenants at 120 Broadway also have access to co-working and amenity spaces across every office building in the Silverstein portfolio through its Inspire program.
Built in 1915 and restored by Silverstein Properties, 120 Broadway is a Beaux-Arts masterpiece. Silverstein Properties has completed a series of major capital improvements that restored 120 Broadway to its original grandeur while updating it with modern technology and luxuries.
Rising 40 stories, the LEED Gold-certified tower features a grand lobby with high ceilings and proportioned floor plates. Additional tenants at the 1.9 million s/f tower include Banco Popular, Tower Research Capital, Macmillan and Golden Goose.
Spanning a full city block, 120 Broadway offers direct in-building access to multiple subway lines and is near the World Trade Center and Fulton St. transit hubs. It is also surrounded by the neighborhood’s dining, shopping and cultural destinations.
