Bouck Real Estate

Sennett, NY According to John Bouck, broker/owner of Bouck Real Estate, a long-term lease for the former 84 Lumber Co. property, at the intersection of Grant Ave. Road and County House Rd. has been completed. The property was sold by Bouck, six months ago, to Cayuga 84 Properties, LLC, a subsidiary of Charlesbank Realty Group.

The new long-term tenant, American Builders & Contractors Supply, will be occupying 39,000 s/f, as well as the 9.5 acres. The owner of the property is a developer that already holds a substantial portfolio in Upstate.

According to J. Nicholas Slottje, president of the company, “We have maintained, and increased, our presence in Upstate New York, as we have witnessed a continuing trend of economic growth and new businesses in the region. Upstate New York has been a key investment and development area for the firm, which we anticipate will continue. Furthermore, we are looking forward to working with our new tenants, American Builders & Contractors Supply, to becoming one of the dominant contractor supply houses in Central NY.”

The property was owned by 84 Lumber Company for many years, and they ultimately moved the operation from the Auburn area. American Builders & Contractors Supply Company (also known as A.B.C. Supply Company) was founded in 1982, and was originally in the roofing material distribution business. It has since grown into a national $9 billion-dollar enterprise, filling the needs of professional contractors with exterior building materials from stores across the United States. The company, which has grown to more than 700 locations, and over 13,000 associates, recently celebrated its 35th anniversary by recognizing the associates and customers who have made the company what it is today. The company has also become an 11-time recipient of the Gallup Great Workplace Award, making it one of the few companies in the world to win the honor every year since inception.

Bouck said, “This community should be extremely pleased with the commitment made by this large company, who will be a tremendous influence in the construction industry here, in Upstate New York. They are making a huge investment in this area, and I would anticipate they will be well-received by contractors, as well as the do-it-yourselfers and homeowners, in Central New York. We certainly look forward to seeing them becoming very successful, and growing, in our community. It’s great to have a national company recognize the benefits here, in the Auburn area, and investing here.”

Bouck Real Estate is a large real estate brokerage firm, located in Auburn, New York, specializing in commercial/industrial sales and leasing.
