BOMA/NY holds holiday luncheon; Brierley swears in new officers

New York, NY BOMA/NY wrapped up 2015 with its popular holiday luncheon, which epitomized the season of giving. Those member volunteers giving back to the association in terms of time and talent were sworn in as new officers and board members. They all took the oath of office,  administered by Robert Brierley, vice chairman of BOMA International. Also honored for his years of service was Peter DiCapua, who served BOMA/NY as president during 1993 and 1994, two years of great change that encompassed the first WTC bombing. DiCapua received a Lifetime Membership in both BOMA/NY and BOMA International, and told the 600 members of the audience, “This means everything in the world to me.” He was presented with a token of appreciation created by BOMA/NY—a creative rendition of his last name using architectural and construction imagery for the lettering. Long-serving chair of the scholarship committee Gail Duke, RPA, CPM named the 2015 scholarship recipients, listed with the designation associated with their scholarship: Ronald D’Amato (RPA), SL Green Realty Corp.; Sandra Meza (RPA), Cushman & Wakefield; Matthew Narby (RPA), CBRE; Yasmin Osorio (RPA), JLL; Amanda Stowers (RPA), JLL; Hella Westerfeld (RPA), RXR Realty; and Eric Winter (RPA), Winter Properties.
