Bobrow & Co. and JRT Realty Group broker 14,564 s/f lease at Bank Note

Bronx, NY According to Norman Bobrow & Co., it has arranged a 14,564 s/f lease deal in The Bank Note building in Hunts Point for America Works of New York in the same space where the recent movie “The Intern” starring Robert DeNiro and Anne Hathaway was filmed.

The six-year lease, at 890 Garrison Ave. in the landmarked former stock certificate printing building, is for part of the building’s fifth and sixth floors where the asking price was $35 per s/f. 

Joshua Berger, managing director, and Alex Lubin of Bobrow & Co., represented the tenant. JRT Realty Group brokerage team led by president Greg Smith and executive managing director Ellen Israel represented the landlord, Lafayette Avenue LLC and owner, Madison Marquette in the transaction.

“ The efficient floorplates, tremendous natural light and recent overhaul of the building’s infrastructure played a significant role in America Works’ decision to serve its clients from this location for the years to come,” said Berger. “It also offers fantastic access to transportation, which was key to America Works’ commitment to its clients and employees.”

America Works of New York is a private corporation that provides employment services for businesses, organizations and government agencies in the United States and job retention and support services for job seekers.  Founded in 1984, the company has offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Albany, Newark, New Jersey, Baltimore, Maryland, Oakland, California, Washington, D.C. and other cities.
