Manhattan, NY Bertwood Realty has signed an 1,096 s/f, five-year lease for the high-fashion children’s retailer, Couture Kids at 324 Columbus Ave. on the Upper West Side.

Specializing in designer clothing for children ages newborn to 14 with such brands as Fendi, Petit Bateau, Young Versace and Roberto Cavalli, this marks Couture Kids second location outside of the renowned Plaza Hotel, where Couture began.

Abe Bichoupan, the Bertwood Realty broker that represented the tenant, said, “There’s a strong market on the Upper West Side for the brands Couture carries including lots of schools for toddlers and young children. Located between 75th and 76th Sts., this site puts them in great position to tap into this market.”

“We’re very excited about this location,” says Diane Parisella, president of Couture Kids. “We’ll be carrying different brands from what we have at the Plaza, including Stella McCartney, Little Marc Jacobs, Billie Bandit, and Scotch Shrunk. Same concept, just different brands.”

Bertwood Realty is the exclusive representative of Couture Kids. They are actively seeking more locations in the New York metro region as well as select cities across the United States.

Couture will take possession in mid-January and expects to open in the spring.

Think Closet occupied the space prior. The landlord was 326 Columbus LLC and its broker was Rafe Evans of Walker Malloy & Co.

Located in Midtown Manhattan, Bertwood Realty, was recently voted one of the top-ten boutique commercial real estate services companies in NYC. Founded by Bertrand de Soultrait in 2013, Bertwood Realty provides a full suite of commercial real estate services for landlords and tenants with a focus on luxury brands.

Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
