B.R. Fries & Assoc. releases newest FriesWay Work Smart System

B.R. Fries & Associates has released the latest version of its proprietary FriesWay Work Smart System construction management operating system. This newest version incorporates lessons learned from recent projects and fine tunes the existing, highly successful system. "B.R. Fries & Associates is a continuously learning organization," say Barry Fries, founder and CEO of B.R. Fries. "We cultivate a learning atmosphere and the FriesWay Work Smart System has proven to be an ideal vehicle for continually optimizing and improving our processes which ultimately benefits our clients." Serving as general contractor, B.R. Fries latest project using the system is the new Lane Bryant 8,000 s/f flagship on 34th St. which got a redesign with design and architecture from Callison, New York. The FriesWay Work Smart System supports the uniform and timely execution of activities throughout the course of construction projects. Corporations, institutions, architects, developers, owner's representatives and project managers have attested to the system's efficiencies and financial value. "The FriesWay Work Smart System flat out works", saidAndrew Bartle, principal of Andrew Bartle Architects, PC. "We worked with B.R. Fries on The Gateway School. This project involved a complete renovation and build-out of more than 25,000 s/fof industrial space into a LEED Silver Certified School (the first LEED CI certified education project in New York City). The FriesWay Work Smart System helped keep the owners, designers, engineers, and construction team unified, firmly on track, and enabled us to deliver this complicated project on schedule and within the budget parameters". Developed over several years, the FriesWay Work Smart System is a collaborative effort between B.R. Fries and FMI Corp. - the world's largest construction industry management consulting firm. "Our mission is to be a Best-in-Class construction company and the FriesWay Work Smart System has improved our accuracy, coordination and efficiency. We will continue to advance our construction management systems to meet the evolving facilities management objectives of our clients," said Stephen Scofield, director of operations for B.R. Fries. The FriesWay Work Smart System involves intensive pre-planning sessions along with the owners, design and engineering team that define goals, client expectations and project challenges. The process continues through preconstruction and construction with all team members, including subcontractors and suppliers, adhering to the same intensive planning, communication and goals. The company has prepared an in-depth operations manual that outlines step-by-step procedures with checklists. This fosters transparency and clarity by means of understandable documentation and controls. According to FMI, on average, 32% of every labor dollar expended in the construction industry is spent on non-productive activities. The FriesWay Work Smart System provides a substantial reduction of that percentage through precision planning, communication and management activities. This has been proven to save time and money, which is ultimately passed to clients, and significantly enhances the firm's competitiveness. B.R. Fries & Associates, LLC is a 35-year-old firm that offers a full range of new building construction, renovation and restoration services including general contracting and construction management. The company has extensive experience with healthcare, corporate, academic and retail properties.
