Avison Young hires Clinton as senior director of tri-state research

New York, NY According to Arthur Mirante, Avison Young principal and tri-state president, Marisha Clinton has joined the company.

Effective immediately, Clinton becomes senior director of tri-state research. Based in the firm’s Manhattan office, Clinton will focus on expanding the strategic and financial consulting practice while also leading Avison Young’s Tri-State research team.

Clinton brings 15 years of finance, accounting and investment research experience to Avison Young, most recently as director of capital markets at JLL in New York, where she was the point person for Americas research, providing macro-level investment market analysis.

Previously, Clinton served as director at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. within the firm’s research area with a focus on the REITS and real estate sectors. Throughout her career, she has focused on investment research and analysis, strategic planning, financial forecasting, and consulting.

 In her new role, Clinton will report to Avison Young president and managing director of New York City operations, Mitti Liebersohn.

Clinton is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she earned her BBA in accounting, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her MBA with a dual major in finance and strategic management. Clinton is also an active charter member of the East Kings County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; a Board Member and Secretary of the Bedford Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center, Inc.; and the Treasurer and Director of the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation.
