Anchin celebrates a legacy of 100 years in business while hosting
awards event for Architectural, Engineering, and Construction firms.

Manhattan, NY Anchin, a top-tier nationwide advisory and accounting firm that specializes in architecture, engineering, construction and real estate, hosted their Construction, Design and Real Estate Awards ceremony. The event took place on June 13, 2023 at 101 Park Ave. and was held to honor all award recipients. Additionally, the event was presented in cooperation with the New York Building Congress (NYBC), the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York), the Subcontractors Trade Association (STA) and The Real Deal. 

This year, awards were presented in four categories that were designed to honor and highlight those firms with an outstanding impact on the industry itself, the most innovative companies, rising new companies and those with a notable legacy.

Legacy Award – Anchin celebrated a large milestone this year – 100 years in business! From inception to today, Anchin has operated with the same guiding principles and has continued to stay true to its initial firm vision and values by continuously bringing new and fresh ideas to clients, while ensuring they continuously receive exceptional service. Anchin’s tagline “Vision, Insights and Possibilities” are words that represent what the partners and staff live and breathe every day. For this award, Anchin recognized firms that are also celebrating legacy achievements this year. M&R Management for 83 years, Syska Hennessy for 95 years, LERA for 100 years, E-J Electric Installation Co. for 124 years, AECOM Tishman for 125 years and EW Howell for 132 years were all named as winners. 

The Industry Impact Award is used to recognize companies that have demonstrated altruism by seeking solutions to guide the industry through current and future economic uncertainty, while taking a leadership role in dealing with industry issues. The award recognizes a company’s and/or a project’s impact as it relates to economic and community improvement, technological advancements, an entrepreneurial spirit, ESG and sustainability, and DE&I. This year, the award went to Gilsanz Murray Steficek (GMS) and Alchemy-ABR.

The Rising Companies Award is awarded to firms that are rapidly growing and have demonstrated that they are or will be A/E/C or Real Estate industry leaders. These rising stars have experienced rapid growth in several areas, including market share, revenue, types and sizes of projects, and workforce. These companies have also become involved in industry issues and have exemplified best practices within the workplace and throughout the industry. The winning companies at the event were Broadway Builders, Bravo Group, and The Raisner Group.

The Best Innovation Award recognizes companies that have gone above and beyond in innovation within the built environment within A/E/C or Real Estate industries. The award focuses on new technologies that companies have utilized or are currently utilizing to enhance their business operations including, but not limited to, securing labor, mitigating supply chain disruptions, implementing new digital tools, and utilizing prop-tech. This year, the award winners for best innovation were Syska Hennessy, DeSimone Consulting Engineers and E-J Electric Installation Co.

The event also featured keynote speaker, Jamie Torres-Springer, President of MTA Construction & Development.
