AmTrust Title Insurance Co. promotes Bozzomo

New York, NY AmTrust Title Insurance Co. named James Bozzomo, Esq. chief underwriting counsel for all direct operations. Bozzomo will be responsible for leading direct underwriting operations across the entire direct commercial and residential platform.

According to Jason Gordon, president of AmTrust Title, “Jim is the ideal person for this role based on his experience with complex commercial transactions, including retail, office and multifamily. He has underwritten and closed some of the largest commercial transactions in the country and is a consummate professional. Jim is a trusted advisor and is particularly deserving of this promotion.”

Prior to this promotion, Bozzomo served as chief underwriter counsel for First Nationwide Title Agency, a subsidiary of AmTrust Financial in the state of New York. Before joining AmTrust, Bozzomo was SVP, managing counsel at the Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Co He also previously served as counsel at Quick Title Agency, LLC and was an attorney at law at the firm, Proskauer Rose LLP. He also previously practiced law representing lenders, buyers and sellers in complex real estate transactions and served as counsel at Quick Title Agency, LLC.  Prior to that, Bozzomo was an attorney at law at the firm, Proskauer Rose LLP.

Steven Napolitano, president of First Nationwide Title Agency, said, “Jim is adept at anticipating the needs of sophisticated institutional investors, lenders and attorneys, leveraging his wealth of knowledge that he’s built over his 17 years of experience. He is a natural fit for the chief underwriting counsel for direct operations. Simply put, he is a vital asset to our title insurance business.”

Bozzomo earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Hofstra University School of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
