Adams & Co. Real Estate, LLC recently brokered leases for two rapidly-growing clothing companies; a seven-year, 11,525
s/f renewal at 48 W. 37th St. for Cote de France Inc., and an 11-year, 14,000 s/f lease at 1071 Avenue of the Americas for Free Country Ltd.
Cote de France Inc. is a clothing production and distribution company that works worldwide with clients like Big & Tall, St. John's Bay and Faded Glory. The renewed fifth floor space is central to Penn Station, Grand Central and Port Authority.
David Levy and Joseph Friedman of Adams & Co. represented both the tenant, Cote de France Inc. and the landlord in the lease renewal. Asking rents were $29 per s/f.
"Cote de France Inc. was excited to renew their lease on W. 37th St.," said Levy. "The office is conveniently located between all three major transportation hubs, which is the perfect location for the headquarters of a distribution company."
Free Country Ltd. is a leading clothing manufacturer that has offered clients a wide range of casual active and outerwear for over 20 years. Their men's, women's and children's collections can be found in major department stores including Macy's, Kohls and Men's Wearhouse. The company's new space is located near Bryant Park.
Levy and Jeffrey Schwartz of Adams & Co. represented the landlord while Newmark Knight Frank represented the Free Country Ltd. in the lease transaction. Asking rents were $35 per s/f.
"Free Country is a company that designs clothes for individuals with trendy and active lifestyles. It is only fitting for their offices to be located near a lively and fashionable area like Bryant Park," said Levy.
