ACEC New York names new officers and directors for 2008/2009

The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) inducted its new officers and board members for 2008/2009 on June 9 at its annual spring conference at the Marriott East Side in New York City. Del Dausman, P.E., senior vice president of C&S Companies and president of C&S Energy Solutions, became president of the council on July 1, succeeding Gregory Kelly, P.E., senior vice president and northeast general manager of Parsons Brinckerhoff. Kelly will now serve as the national director of ACEC New York, and as such will be the liaison between the New York organization and ACEC, the national organization. Dausman has been active in ACEC New York for 15 years; he has chaired the DASNY and energy committees, was past president of the Central Region and has served as an ACEC New York state director. During his career at C&S, his responsibilities have included planning, engineering, project management and construction management projects with a construction value of more than $500 million. He has led several aspects of the business as facilities group manager, environmental group manager, president of C&S Design Build and principal-in-charge of finance. Dausman's involvement with community organizations includes president of the Central New York Naval Academy Parents Association, founding chairman of the YoungLife Urban Board in Syracuse, vice chair of the Syracuse City School District Foundation and co-chair of the Syracuse Center of Excellence Energy Committee.
