ACEC New York installs new officers and directors for 2011/2012

The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) inducted a new slate of officers and directors on June 15 for the term beginning July 1. Michael Leydecker, P.E., an associate principal and surface transportation group manager at Wendel Duchscherer Architects & Engineers, P.C., Buffalo, is the new chairman. Outgoing chairman Neil Lucey, P.E. of Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) will be the national director of ACEC New York, serving as liaison between ACEC New York and the national organization in Washington, D.C. Leydecker brings to the position over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering and transportation field, with particular expertise in context-sensitive transportation design, traffic engineering, community participation and environmental assessments. Since 1994, Leydecker has served on the board of directors of ACEC New York and held numerous other leadership positions within the organization.
