Abdo and Cooperstock of Winoker Realty Company lease 14,800 s/f

Winoker Realty Company has arranged a 14,800 s/f lease with nightclub operator New York City 36 LLC on behalf of Broadway 36th Realty LLC, the owner of 29 West 36th St. The new nightclub will be called District 36. Corey Abdo, executive VP at Winoker Realty, and Mitchell Cooperstock, senior managing director, negotiated the retail lease for the landlord. The new lease carries a ten-year term and encompasses 6,000 s/f on the building's ground floor. Basement and mezzanine space represents the balance of the 14,800 s/f lease. Michelle Mulle and Chris Cardinale of Sunburst Advisors represented the tenant. "New York City is the indisputable nightclub capital of the Western Hemisphere," said Abdo. "Given the stature and depth of this market, District 36 explored many spaces during their search. But 29 West 36th St. turned out to be the ideal location for a business destined to become one of Manhattan's hottest dance clubs this fall. We worked closely with the tenant and the landlord to structure a deal that exceeded everyone's expectations."
