Healthcare facility renovations continue to be on the rise and require expert management under intense and demanding conditions. A.P. Construction has completed work for some of the region's top-ranked hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Specializing in hospital renovations, outpatient care facilities, and special needs housing for the elderly, A.P. Construction has completed a diverse range of projects that include intensive care units, operating rooms, clinical laboratories, cardiovascular care units, central processing areas, and post anesthesia care units.

Over the past three years Stamford Hospital awarded A.P. Construction numerous projects for their internal departments and off-site facilities, including the demolition and renovations of two operating rooms. Most recently they competed a 20,000 s/f, $2.4 million renovation of the hospital's second floor that includes upgraded rooms utilizing smart room technology, second of its kind in the U.S., to improve medical staff interaction with patients.

The St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT hired A.P. Construction to complete a 53,000 s/f, $18.1 million project on their operating rooms and intensive care unit. This included the construction of 10 operating rooms.
The North Westchester Hospital at Chappaqua Crossing in Chappaqua, N.Y. engaged A.P. Construction on a 31,000 s/f, $3.3 million revamp. This required the demolition and build-out of medical office space as an outpatient facility.
With a continuing trend of healthcare institutions creating more outpatient facilities, A.P. Construction has also completed numerous projects in this area. Ranging from 2,000 s/f to over 50,000 s/f, projects are for various specialties such as diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, diabetes, orthopedic, and family practice walk-in facilities.
Outpatient projects for A.P. Construction include the 35,000 s/f, $7.9 million construction of Generations Family Health Center in Willimantic, CT, a new medical office building on a vacant site; the $4.1 multi-phased renovation for the Westchester Medical Group in Rye, N.Y. that required the conversion of a single tenant office use to multiple medical suites; and the $2.1 million renovation of Darien Imaging Center in Darien, CT.
A.P. Construction's more notable healthcare projects for special needs housing for the elderly include the 64,500 square-foot, $11.6 million expansion of the Waveny Care Center in New Canaan, CT which included 53 private resident rooms, an adult day care center addition and an outpatient rehabilitation gymnasium; Cedar Mountain Commons a 78,000 square-foot, $8.2 million, out-of-ground senior housing healthcare project in Newington, CT ; and Crescent Point at Niantic, a 50,000 square-foot, $5.4 million out-of-ground assisted living project in Niantic, CT.
