What did you want to be when you grew up?

Astronomer and astronaut

What led you to your current profession?

My dad built his house himself and I was always helping. In high school he suggested I take some drafting classes and then when we started looking at colleges he suggested the engineering field. When it came time to choose a specialty, structural just made the most sense.

In the past year, what project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

DePaul Albion which is under construction. It’s the next town over from where I grew up so it’s a little more special to me.

Who was/is your mentor and how did s/he influence/help you in your career?

I’m lucky enough to work with a talented and tight-knit team. We’re always bouncing ideas off each other and learning from each on different ways to design.
