On November 15, 2012, the Rochester Area Chapter (RAC) of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) held its 2012 president's dinner and awards banquet at the Genesee Valley Club. At the event, David Flaum, chief executive officer of Flaum Management Company, Inc., was presented with the Allan D. Moore Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his exemplary achievements, personal commitment, dedication and performance in the commercial real estate industry within the Greater Rochester community.
The event also included the installation of officers for 2013. Joe Rowley, from Buckingham Properties, and former past president for NYSCAR presided over the swearing in of Greg Oehler as president and Bernie Fallon as treasurer. Mercedes Brien, vice president, from Nothnagle Commercial and John Rynne, secretary, from Rynne, Murphy Associates, Inc. will be sworn in at a later date.
Directors installed for 2013 were Scott Burdett, Flaum Management Co., Mark Rohlin, Mission Commercial Realty, LLC, Adam Smith from The Cabot Group and Ted Welter, CCIM, CPM, Welter Realty, LLC. Director, Tom Lockwood from Charwood Commercial Realty, will be sworn in at a later date.
Gregory Oehler, MBA, from Hunt Commercial, received the Commercial Deal of the Year Award in recognition for the $3.39 million lease to LeClairRyan at 70 Linden Oaks. The Deal of the Year Award is given to the most interesting, creative, complex, meaningful or largest transaction for the year.
Anita Bruckner, of RE/MAX Realty Group-Commercial Division, and Flaum Management - Asher Flaum, team leader, both received honorable mentions for the Commercial Deal of the Year Award.
Harry Gleason, of CB Richard Ellis, was recognized as the Commercial Realtor of the Year, having demonstrated excellence, commitment and distinction within the commercial real estate profession.
Mark Rohlin, of Mission Commercial Realty, LLC, was recognized and received the Meritorious Service Award, for his long-standing dedication to the RAC NYSCAR organization as a board member and 2012 president. Tags:
