42,000 s/f New York Sports Clubs opens in Trump Plaza, New Rochelle

New York Sports Clubs (NYSC) will hold it's official opening at the Trump Plaza condominium tower. Located on the second floor of Trump Plaza, the new 42,000 s/f NYSC facility features a basketball court, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, family changing room, and separate studios for aerobics, cycling, boxing, and mind/body exercise programs. It also features two swimming pools-a lap pool, and an additional pool for children's swimming lessons and aquatic exercise classes. It is open to the general public as well as residents of Trump Plaza. "The opening of New York Sports Clubs, one of the region's premier fitness centers, adds new excitement to the luxury residential lifestyle of Trump Plaza and further strengthens the economic revival underway in downtown New Rochelle," said Louis Cappelli who is developing Trump Plaza with Donald Trump. The 40-story Trump Plaza features 194 one, two and three-bedroom residences and is 70% sold. Cappelli Enterprises is a leading real estate developer and general contractor in the Northeast. Headquartered in Valhalla, NY, the company has built more than 10 million square feet of mixed-use, retail, waterfront, residential, office building, laboratory and parking facilities. Cappelli has been the driving force behind the dramatic revival of White Plains and New Rochelle. In New Rochelle, Cappelli also developed the New Roc City retail and entertainment complex that has played a crucial role in the downtown's rebirth. Cappelli is also planning to build LeCount Sq., a mixed-used development in downtown New Rochelle featuring class A office space, residences, retail space and restaurants.

I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
