What leadership lesson has made the greatest impact on your career?

My mentor taught me the importance of leading by example and setting the tone for people that you’re working on a deal with, as it can have a significant impact on both the deal and the relationship with the client. I strive to foster a culture of calm professionalism, mutual respect, and integrity — particularly in high-pressure situations where thoughtful judgment and collaboration matter most. I learned that when you lead with kindness and respect, it leads to a better result for the client, and a more meaningful experience for the associates on the transaction.

One piece of advice I’d give the next generation of women entering commercial real estate is to not be afraid to speak up and to be more in confident. Acting with confidence helps women recognize their strengths, enhances their professional reputation, results in more connections within the real estate industry, and ultimately leads to greater career success. While there will always be moments of doubt, fear should not stop you from being vocal about your opinions. Some of the greatest opportunities come from stepping out of your comfort zone.
