What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to grow into a leader within my firm, helping to spearhead the growth of our hospitality sector and leading diverse teams on complex transit projects across multiple delivery types, including large scale design-build projects. Equally important, I have worked alongside colleagues to cultivate a firm culture rooted in empathy and inclusion, with the goal of continuing to make Urbahn into a place where people genuinely want to work and where that energy shows up in our work for the clients and communities we serve.

How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?

I believe leadership begins with example. Guidelines and expectations carry far greater weight when the team has had a hand in shaping them. I will never ask someone to put in hours I am not willing to put in myself, and I make it a point to understand the tasks I assign down to the detail, so that I can offer real support, not just direction. When people feel seen and understood, they are far more likely to bring their best to the work.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

Good sleep and knowing when to step back and recharge.

What book, podcast, or app has most influenced your approach to leadership?

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig. A masterclass in problem solving.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?

My father, a self-made executive whose work ethic and moral clarity set my standard.
