How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?

I have created a culture where every employee gets to inspire and compliment one another throughout the course of the work week. I personally coach and support every employee, both personally and professionally. I also hired a high-performance business coach that all employees have access to for free. The environment is inspirational, with messages from people like Zig Ziglar and Martin Luther King Jr. and inspiring artwork from people with autism. It’s a transparent culture of respect, integrity and character. We have a message board featuring an inspirational message for the week.

What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

I recently toured Northwell Health South Oaks Hospital, including the gymnasium where behavioral health patients visit with family. The gymnasium was old, dark and dreary. I asked if I could make a donation and enhance the space so it would refresh and inspire the patients, who are dealing with challenges. My employees and I cleaned the gym and painted the walls, and I hired a professional artist to design inspirational messages around the room. The end result was an amazing, inspiring room with many messages to hopefully make a difference in patients’ lives.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

Self-love, self-respect and exercise.

What book, podcast, or app has most influenced your approach to leadership?

An audio cassette by Zig Ziglar entitled “You’re a Natural Champion” changed my life.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?

Michael Brini, my first sales manager and mentor.
