Jake Torre
Vice President
SAB Capital

“Jake Torre’s leadership — both within SAB and in client advisory — sets a standard for execution, insight, and professionalism. His track record has earned him consistent accolades from colleagues, clients, and industry publications, and is driven by efficient execution and proven credibility.”

What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

I’m most proud of delivering consistent, execution-driven results for clients through disciplined pricing and strategic positioning. I’ve closed over $200 million in sales with $90 million in 2026 activity and receive consistent accolades from colleagues, clients, and industry publications as a result of that success. I’ve completed one of Hartford’s top industrial transactions after 12 failed attempts by competing firms, reinforcing my ability to unlock value for my clients. With 80% of listings closed within 12 months and execution within 7% of ask, I pride myself on earning client confidence.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?

My father - observing how he runs and operates his own company pushes me every day.

What is one major challenge you’ve overcome as a leader, and what did it teach you?

One major challenge I’ve overcome is aligning client pricing expectations with real-time market conditions. By avoiding unachievable valuations and underwriting assets with precision, I reinforce my credibility and drive efficient execution, consistently transacting within list price. This discipline has taught me that leadership is grounded in accuracy, transparency, and the ability to translate market knowledge into results clients can rely on.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

Taking care of my mind and body through early morning workouts and reading.

What book, podcast, or app has most influenced your approach to leadership?

20-Minute Manager by Harvard Business Review. This provides a broad range of skills for leaders.
