Jaimee has also successfully sought out and mentored female junior litigators and helped with development to further her commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive community and workplace.”
What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?
I’m proud to have been recognized by multiple outlets recently. It’s gratifying to see the work I’ve put into making this field more inclusive acknowledged in a meaningful way. I’ve served on boards and advised organizations focused on empowering women and other minority groups, and that impact has been incredibly fulfilling. I’m grateful to work at a firm that supports these efforts and allows me to pursue what I care about. The continued growth of my practice, even amid challenges to DEI initiatives, reinforces that I’m on the right path.
How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?
I lead by example and, having had some incredible champions and mentors in my career, understand the value and importance of being a champion and a mentor. I approach all of my mentees with the experience I’ve gained from my many years in this profession. I worked my way up at Zetlin & De Chiara through hard work and determination. I understand that different people are motivated and learn by different means and know my team well enough to understand what inspires and motivates them to best set them up for success.
What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?
Setting goals for both myself and my team is critical to staying focused and motivated as a leader.
Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?
From a very young age, my parents taught me that if I work hard I can do anything I set my mind to.
