2025 Women in Construction: Marie McGrath, Levine Builders

Marie McGrath
Senior Project Manager
Levine Builders

What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community?

Having worked in the construction industry for over 25 years, every project completed throughout my career has left me with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment specific to the nuanced nature of each. Since joining Levine Builders last year, something I am very passionate about is the $477 million comprehensive modernization of Saint Nicholas Houses in Harlem. Marking the New York City Housing Authority’s largest design-build contract and overall largest capital project to date, the development will benefit 3,340 residents living in 1,526 apartments across 13 buildings.

What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront?

The construction industry is constantly evolving, with new regulations and policies being created that have a large hand in shaping the landscape at large. Levine Builders has been at the forefront of integrating technology to streamline every aspect of our business – from pre-construction planning, to collaborating with project partners and forming construction teams on project startups. We leverage these innovations to maximize efficiency, safety and quality, ensuring we stay at the helm of an ever-changing industry, all while delivering superior results.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?

I’m an avid fisherman and boater, I enjoy being out on the open water in the peace and quiet.
