“Giuseppe is a standout talent at EW Howell, recognized for his dedication and leadership while exemplifying our company’s core values. He began as an Assistant Project Manager, where his work ethic and commitment quickly distinguished him. Giuseppe leads his projects with excellence and actively supports other teams. He plays a key role in developing our best practices and training initiatives. Giuseppe has risen to project manager, now leading one of our largest projects, thanks in part to a strong relationship he built with a previous client who provided a glowing recommendation.” - Joe Barilla, Project Executive, EW Howell Construction Group.

What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? The project I am most proud of has yet to break ground but holds immense significance. The Elizabeth Seton Children’s Young Adult Center in White Plains, NY, is a pioneering specialized care facility for young adults with complex medical needs. Over the past two years, I worked with Pat Tursi (CEO), her exceptional organization, and the dedicated staff during preconstruction. This center will be an international model and research hub, focusing on patient-centered design to establish new standards in medical support. This project is a professional milestone and a deeply meaningful experience.

What is your top advice for someone just starting out in your field? Stay in the field and avoid isolating yourself in the trailer. Hands-on experience is invaluable as well. I began as an assistant project manager but serving as an assistant superintendent on my first few projects significantly shaped my development as a project manager. Walking the job site offers firsthand exposure to challenges, best practices, and decision-making processes. Build strong relationships with superintendents, foremen, and tradespeople. They possess an extraordinary depth of knowledge. Fostering these connections will make you a more effective, well-rounded leader.
