2025 Ones To Watch - Industry Leaders: Michael Kazmierski, Kaufman Investments / Kaufman Organization

Michael Kazmierski
President & Principal
Kaufman Investments / Kaufman Organization

“During Mr. Kazmierski’s over a decade long tenure at the Kaufman Organization, he has been a steward of the Kaufman brand exemplifying a mastery of navigating the institutional capital markets, deal making, relationship building, entrepreneurial spirit and strategic growth particularly over a period of challenging times in New York City office sector.” - Steve Kaufman, President of the Kaufman Organization.

Recent goal and impact:

Michael Kazmierski is currently spearheading the redevelopment of One NoMad which is one of the only high-end commercial projects underway in the submarket. The property is situated at the NoMad Gateway which is the nexus between the emergence of Penn Station and the NoMad submarket. One NoMad is being delivered as a creative hub for the growing NYC content creation, studio and media industry. This development continues to solidify Kaufman as the industry expert on the Midtown South market and the most active commercial investor and redeveloper in Flatiron/NoMad over the last decade.

Best advice for new leaders:

Focus on a particular area, strategy or product type with the goal of being the industry leader.

Giving Back: Kazmierski’s passion for and desire to give back to the Midtown South – NoMad/ Flatiron community resulted in leading the completion of one of New York City’s largest public works of art. The 120-foot mural overlooking Madison Square Park commissioned by Kazmierski and Kaufman was completed to shed light on the NoMad area’s rich history while educating the public on the key people and stories of the Gilded Age. The mural is now looked upon as an iconic symbol of NoMad and was designated as the centerpiece of the Flatiron NoMad Partnership BID rebranding campaign.
