What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2023? My greatest accomplishment of 2023 has been leading the renovation of New York University’s landmarked Rubin Hall, which will be one of the world’s largest Passive House EnerPHit certified residential buildings. The all-electric renovation of this 100-year-old student dormitory is an important step in addressing NYU’s Climate Action Plan.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2024? Imperative city-wide climate goals, along with the goals of institutions and organizations, are requiring projects to meet aggressive sustainability targets. I am hopeful that FXCollaborative’s renovation of New York University’s Rubin Hall will become an exemplar project for the retrofit of millions of square feet of pre-war multifamily construction in New York.
